A native woman kidnapped by the Vikings may have been the first American to arrive in Europe around 1,000 years ago, according to a startling new study.

80 people from a total of four families in Iceland showed they possess a type of DNA normally only found in Native Americans or East Asians.

I really don't know if to believe this,anyway 80 people in a pop. of 318,006 in Iceland it's nothing.

Thorfinn Karlsefni (Old Norse: Þorfinnr Karlsefni, Icelandic: Þorfinnur Karlsefni) was an Icelandic explorer who circa 1010 AD led an attempt to settle Vínland with three ships and 160 settlers. Among the settlers was Freydís Eiríksdóttir, according to Grœnlendinga saga and Eiríks saga rauða, sister or half-sister of Leif Eriksson respectively. Thorfinn's wife Guðríðr Þorbjarnardóttir gave birth to a boy in Vínland, known as Snorri Guðríðarson[ , the first child of European descent known to have been born in the New World and to whom many Icelanders can trace their roots. The exact location of Thorfinn's colony is unknown but is believed to potentially be the excavated Norse camp at L'Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland.

In the early twentieth century, Einar Jónsson, an Icelandic sculptor, created a statue of Thorfinn Karlsefni which was placed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There is another casting of the statue in Reykjavik, Iceland.

THIS looks nothing like Bjork.
She looks white while bjork looks oriental.

That woman I posted looks like a eurasian, maybe 1/4 philipino in appearnance. Look at the orbits, forehead, cheekbones, and eye shape. It's asiatic. But the nose, and obviously eye color are european.

Wesley Swift taught their were white Indians. In fact they've recently found that some Indians are Haplogroup X which is European.
