I thought about scheduling a program in time for the rapture, and then not showing up. Then I can remotely publish a notice on the front page of Christogenea that I was a no-show because I was raptured. Now everyone who is "informed" knows that the rapture will be on September 24th, give or take a day or two.

It seems that the primary authority for this nonsense, at least according to the Before It's News website, is “Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky [who] is an authority within Ultra-Orthodox and Haredim sects (though not all recognize him as an authority). He has instructed for Jews to prepare for the arrival of the Messiah in September 2015. He has instructed Jews outside of the country to make Aliyah in preparation for the imminent return of Messiah.”

Apparently, Rabbi Kanievsky didn't consult with esteemed Rabbi Yitzhak Yaduri, who, in 2007 revealed to the world that the coming of the Messiah was eminent--and that the Messiah was actually named "Yashua":

I suppose this has evolved from the frenzy over the Kike fear porn author J. Cahn who
has written several books of "prophecy" related to the 7 year cycle [ sabbath] and his
Shemitah judgement "warning".. Which for the most part seems to be extra-biblical
nonsense.
