Free Turntable / Record Player

I have this turntable that I don't need and figured I'd see if anybody here wants it. It's a Numark TTUSB turntable. It has a USB connection for the computer but I don't have the software CD. Possibly it can be downloaded online. It also has regular RCA cables to plug into an amplifier or receiver. This must be done as it is not a stand-alone player. The RCA cables are switchable between Line level and Phono. This means it can be hooked up to any amplifier or receiver regardless of whether or not phono inputs are present. It seems to work fine all around however the needle is worn and must be replaced for proper fidelity. They are cheap and easy to find;

It's a very basic player, not audiophile by any means. Comes with the adapter for 45s.

Forgot the outdoors motto, two is one and one is none.

Time for me to look into a GOOD turntable I guess.
I have enough albums to warrant the expense.

Les, I'll keep my eyes opened for another turntable. I come across vintage electronics all the time. I picked up and fixed up this thing not too long ago;



It cost me $20. It is in great condition however it obviously hadn't been used in many years because the motor spindle was pressed into the idler wheel so deep that it "thump...thump...thumped" when I got it re-greased and spinning. I payed a guy $45 to put new rubber on the idler wheel, another $22 on a new cartridge and now it's working perfectly. It's a "dual mono" all-in-one suitcase unit that I use for playing old 78's and the elusive 16rpm record I happen upon from time to time [like the one in the picture]. Believe it or not there is a rising interest in these old suitcase school players. A company called Crosley is making cheap reproductions of them today for $100 and up but as you can see it's possible to find the real deal, when the quality was much better and get them running for less than a Crosley. In fact I have seen these vintage players in working condition going for $300+.
