Sorry Staro, I only saw it now. Bill translated it perfectly, I wouldn't know how to translate "goiabada caseira cascão" to english. What makes me wonder how could he translate such a thing from portuguese to english, lol.
Where did you get it in the states? It was produced in my paternal's family state of origin.

One of my wife's friends gave her a bunch of edibles from Brazil. The homemade caramel was pretty good but tough on the teeth.

It was easy to estimate the ingredients in English. I took Spanish (Castillian) in high school for two years, and I used to eat in a few good Portuguese restaurants in Newark NJ quite frequently when I was young. Things I no longer like to think about, because most people speaking Spanish or Portuguese in New Jersey are clearly bastards.
In the 1970's and throughout the 1980's the Portuguese replaced Italians in the Ironbound section of Newark, which was the only section of the city not overrun with niggers by then.

Portuguese is almost the same language as spanish in the paper, what makes it different are the sounds that are totally different. About the ingredients, I think all european languages are connected in some way.
The portuguese of Newark came from Portugal or Brazil?
All the "pure" portuguese I've met in Brazil are mongrels. Most people (white) have a percentage of portuguese blood in them though, thats probably the only pure portuguese blood left. In SF theres a girl who claims she comes from a 100% portuguese family, and pure. That is amazing if true.
