I find it mind boggling that these people refuse to consider the advice of their founder.

Well, no surprises here:

They reference information from the SPLC:

Statistics: No reliable statistics on adherents to this movement are available, though as recently as 2003 one agency has identified 31 organized groups in the U.S. (see http://www.splcenter.org/intel/map/hate.jsp?T=11&m=2)

They list THESE as "CI Texts", note in particular the second title! (They no doubt got this information from the SPLC as well):

Texts: Bible. Identity believers commonly read the following: The Protocols of the Elders of Zion (a highly disputed work published in Russia in the 1900s) and The Turner Diaries, a 1978 novel by white supremacist William Pierce.

And to cap it off, of course, they reaffirm that the whole mass of what they call "humanity" all came from one white man.

But as you say, there's no such thing as bad publicity!

It's a good thing they entitled their beliefs on the issue as, "The Lutheran Response" instead of, "The BIBLICAL Response". Otherwise, I might have gotten confused...
