Investment Assets

Postby bamaman » Mon Jun 28, 2010 2:10 am

Well, the economy is going to eventually crash. My question is what is a good way to invest money.

I was thinking about farm implements and heirloom seeds, alternative ways to produce electricity,
and building a cistern system that collects water from the metal roof of a house and having a
small RV pump hooked up to it which runs water to a pressurized water tank and then to the
main water line to the house. You cannot eat gold and silver so having viable heirloom seeds
in bulk is a worth while investment. Well, I want to know what everyone else has to say on this.
Please feel free and give your input on this.

Keep up the sound thinking, Bama! Self-suffiency is important, and to hell with gold and silver: you can't eat heavy metals!

I keep just enough in the bank to pay the bills. Everything else gets converted into useful things: tools, weapons, ammo, food, machinery, seed, worthwhile books, etc.

If you live in a city, get out now... even if you have to rent in the countryside, or labor as a farm hand, or whatever it takes, get the hell out of the cities while you still have an option... unless you fancy fighting muds for what little food will be available when the balloon goes up.

bamaman, your on the right track, i would also suggest getting a hand operated water pump that connects to your water well. Like the kind you pump up and down to bring the water up. im not sure how they connect to the well, but a little bit of research on the internet will reveal this. here is a good store in amish country that may help you with finding appliances and tools that do not use electric. http://www.lehmans.com/

A great link Mackdog. Thanks
Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Matthew 7 16-19 KJV
