The Book Of Enoch Summary

Postby BrettDeason » Sun Feb 07, 2010 5:16 am

This is the summary of The Book Of Enoch summarizing each chapter. I ask that Greg, the gentleman who was in the Baptist Ministry, to please feel free to post to these posts adding what you think needs to be added. Or even subtracting what you think needs to be subtracted. There are some chapters which I did not write a summary for. My summaries are only one or two sentences per chapter. I specify Greg only because I know that he has read The Book Of Enoch more times than I have. Anyone else can also feel free to add posts as well. I am mainly posting this to get people who have not read The Book Of Enoch excited about the book so that they will be encouraged to read the book.

The Book Of Enoch

from: http://qbible.com/

Chapter 1:

Everything is summed up. It is all summed up. And I mean everything.

Chapter 7:

Giants that are 45 stories tall.

Book Of Enoch 7:11 - 12 tells of the giants. The giants are the offspring of the fallen Angels. The fallen Angels are the Angels that fell from heaven to Earth with Lucifer, or Satan, if you prefer. The fallen Angels mated with the females of the other races. The other races are the races that are not the Adamic race. The fallen Angels taught the other races: "sorcery, incantations, and the dividing of roots and trees." (The Book Of Enoch 7:10) The giants were always hungry. The giants ate everything.

Chapter 8:

What the fallen Angels taught men. The fallen Angels taught the other races. The races other than the Adamic race. The fallen Angels fell down to Earth along with Lucifer when Lucifer fell down to Earth.

See: Luke 10:18 , Math. 24:29 , Rev. 9:1 , Isa. 14:12 for references.

This chapter in The Book Of Enoch gets specific as to which fallen Angel taught what subject. "...make swords, knives, shields, breastplates, the fabrication of mirrors, and the workmanship of bracelets and ornaments, the use of paint, the beautifying of the eyebrows, [the use of] stones of every valuable and select kind, and all sorts of dyes, so that the world became altered ... taught all the sorcerers, and dividers of roots ... [taught] the solution of sorcery ... [taught] the observers of the stars ... [taught] signs ... taught astronomy ... taught the motion of the moon" (The Book Of Enoch 8:1 , 8:3 - 8)

This chapter also ends with a nice summary of the result of all of this education.

The Book Of Enoch Chapter 8:9 And men, being destroyed, cried out; and their voice reached to heaven.

Chapter 9:

The Angels, the good ones, the ones who are still in Heaven, ask Yahweh what does He want them to do with all the people who have corrupted the Earth and with the fallen Angels who started all the corruption, causing all the corruption.

I will post more posts in the future summarizing more chapters. There are over 100 chapters in this book.

The Book Of Enoch Chapter 10:

Yahweh sends message by way of one of His Angels who is still with Him in Heaven to tell the son of Lamech that he will have to protect himself from what Yahweh is going to do to the Earth, so that his seed will be preserved.

The Book Of Enoch Chapter 12:

Yahweh sends Enoch to tell the fallen Angels that they are going to be punished for what they did.

Book Of Enoch Chapter 13:

Enoch goes and tells the fallen Angels that they are going to be doomed and the fallen Angels ask Enoch to help them out by writing a memorial of supplication, that they might obtain forgiveness.

Book Of Enoch Chapter 15:

Yahweh tells Enoch to go tell the fallen Angels that they will be punished for what they have done and that instead of getting men to pray for them that they should instead pray for men.

The Book Of Enoch really has the two-seedline message all the way throughout the whole book. It is a very enjoyable read.
