Christogenea On AM Radio

Postby AirNSwordz » Wed Apr 13, 2011 3:39 am

Bill,
I recently heard that you are looking into the possibility of getting on the AM air waves. I know that one of the stepping stones some have taken in order to try to make that happen was to start with a registered iTunes podcast. I personally think it's a good idea. It should give you more exposure and support to make that next step. Of course you have a pretty high hurtle in the sense that you have to first get your podcast approved by the iTunes/Podcast team. If I were you I would first enter my subscription in with a much milder presentation in order to first get approved. Then I would open the flood gates after getting approved. Below is a link that may be of use to you which shows some basic steps on starting an official podcast. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions.
Yahweh Bless,
Aaron

AM radio in the USA would be easier to obtain and stay on the air, as long as you have funds to pay for it.
I already see that itunes suppresses freedom of speech -

Why was my podcast removed or not approved?

Unauthorized copyrighted material, erotica, illegal solicitations, and hate speech are prohibited in the iTunes Store. Podcasts with no episodes will be removed. Podcasts with no recent episodes can remain in iTunes but may disappear from some areas.

No big surprise really. It's too bad, but I did notice that Verbal Vandalism had a podcast that populated in iTunes. If nothing else it would be good to get an RSS feed for Christogenea to generate such a playlist for iTunes. This could include PDF's within the podcast as well, again just as Verbal Vandalism has done.
Example:

Thanks, AirNSwordz, for the information.

I already have audio feeds set up from Christogenea, at:

http://christogenea.org/audio/feed
http://mk.christogenea.org/audio/feed

Right now, the Christogenea.net site's front page is populated from Christogenea audio feeds. The audios appear there automatically within 30 minutes of my adding them to my main site (because I have it set to check twice an hour, even if I only have a new recording twice a week, LOL).

the streaming radio servers I have set up are already registered at AOL/Shoutcast. I did not know iTunes had such a service for podcasts. I will look into it, thank you!
