It is only in incubation stages right now, however I am currently designing a data type and navigation model for the next version of Christogenea. It already has a cell-phone friendly audio player (but there are not yet any audio files except one).

When I am done, this version of Christogenea will have easy-to-navigate context-sensitive menus (I am praying, anyway) that will make content much easier to find and read. As good as I can, anyway, since the site has well in excess of 3000 pages as it is.

Any volunteers for artwork would be appreciated. It would be hard to give up the current banner, but other relevant pieces would be considered.

Also at the present website for Tablet Andriod users you might mention above the Talkshoe link that the current downloads are available to Andriod Tablet Users on the Christogenea Talkshoe Page. This is where I go to download the lastest program onto my Tablet. Many people are not computer savvy enough to know you can do this.

From my iPad, I can play the audio right off the page using next.christogenea.org but not the main current site. So, it's working as far as accessibility goes. But you probably knew that.

Yeah, But probably most people are visiting old website at present which doesn't work with Android.

Thanks for the comments. I am having a headache now trying to get some javascript to work consistently for the new site. I will get it eventually.

Firefox and Opera support HTML5, but they refuse to play the mp3 format, which is non-commercial. The open-source developers balk at mp3 format because it is still proprietary. It is like a bunch of spoiled brats throwing a hissy fit.

Content providers are stuck in the middle because so many devices play mp3 and it is so popular. [I paid a one-time fee of $5 per stream to be able to stream with Shoutcast in mp3 format.] It would be silly of me to switch to ogg or some other format, that a great number of my listeners would not be able to use.

Android does support the mp3 codec in its HTML5 implementation, and there are now HTML5 fallback players for the Shoutcast streams on the main Christogenea site.

I cannot switch the new site to be the main site until I convert a few hundred more documents, and then get the stream players to work at least somewhat consistently. I also have to get a chat room going yet for the new site.

site, but the tool bar options, forum, login, radio, none
are responding... Was able to access forum thru CH . net site.
Cannot access "old site" either. Hope the problems can be

There are problems with the new site with Windows Vista, mostly because the Javascript is broken in that hopelessly failed operating system. There are also problems with certain older browsers.

I cannot help those problems, I had to look forward and design a site for tomorrow, which means one that works on Android and new browsers. The only persistent problem now that I know of is a banner sizing issue which I see on my own tablet, for that region with the changing banner on the front page.
