I remember this song from my HS years on the 80's.. I recently heard it again while listening to Pandora music...

I thought the band was singing about some girl when it sounded like `Kyrie Lays'... Then I looked up the words and found I was hearing it wrong... It's `Kyrie Eleison', which means `Lord have mercy' in Greek. I found it on YouTube... The band is Mr. Mister. Pretty good song if you listen to the lyrics..

Mr Mister - Kyrie Lyrics:

The wind blows hard against this mountain side,
across the sea into my soul
It reaches into where I cannot hide,
setting my feet upon the road

My heart is old, it holds my memories,
my body burns a gemlike flame
Somewhere between the soul and soft machine,
is where I find myself again

Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel
Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night
Kyrie eleison, where I'm going will you follow
Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light

When I was young I thought of growing old,
of what my life would mean to me
Would I have followed down my chosen road,
or only wished what I could be

Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel
Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night
Kyrie eleison, where I'm going will you follow
Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light

oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel
Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night
Kyrie eleison, where I'm going will you follow
Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light

(repeat chorus 2x)

Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel!

We need a 'what's FistofYahweh listening to' thread. heh.

I like the song, music is a weakness of mine, I often get drawn into secular music, most of which shouldn't get posted here.
