How can Griffin stomp our island of Prydain saying that his German ancestors are as indigenous as the Native Britons? He claims that the people who have been here for the last ’17,000 years’ (since the Ice Age?) are the ‘aborigines’ – and he is quite right.

However for the past 15,500 years of this time, the English were bumming camels in the sandy wastes of modern-day Afghanistan and Persia. While the indigenous Britons and Gaels were building world-class monuments unrivalled across the hemispheres; living in centrally-heated and insulated dwellings with sewage systems; launching exploration fleets that would map the coasts of North America and Africa; and communally living under progressive legal systems, the ancestors of the Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Danes and Normans were sitting cross-legged on tatty rugs eating curry with their bare hands. The Aryans were selling their daughters to wandering nomads in return for a few hits of opium or some puffs on a hookah pipe.

He makes the disgusting claim that the English are as indigenous to these beautiful islands as the ‘Welsh’, ‘Scottish’ and ‘Irish’ are. No, Herr Griffin, they are not. The English have more in common with the Hottentots, Bantu, Pathans and Chinamen than they do with the Native Britons.
