'I would have destroyed Dresden again': Bomber Harris was unrepentant over German city raids 30 years after the end

The RAF commander who ordered the controversial fire-bombing of Dresden which killed an estimated 25,000 civilians during World War II said he would do it again in a long lost interview filmed 30 years after the end of the conflict.

Former marshal of the Royal Air Force, Sir Arthur 'Bomber' Harris, gave the green light for the 1945 bombing which reduced the city in Saxony, Germany, to rubble.

The attack was widely criticised because of 'blanket bombing' which hit civilian areas as well as military targets - killing thousands of innocents.

But the newly-discovered interview with Sir Arthur, which was filmed in 1977 and will be aired for the first time on the BBC tonight, shows the RAF chief defending his decision.

This unrepentant scumbag is very proud of his actions. This only reaffirms what Bill have always said: the allies played whores for the jews and they GLADLY destroyed National Socialist Germany for the sake of the shekels. There are many disgusting comments there supporting this horrible genocide, that Germany started the war and they deserved it, etc.

Whites deserve to be severely punished by Yahweh and more if you really think so.

The Germans used civilian bombing as part of their demoralisation campaign as well. Coventry was wrecked and lost it's cathedral to Luftwaffe bombing, though most of the attacks there were to destroy the factories.

But Dresden was bombed well after the allies were winning, in an area with little war impact and was nothing more than vicious retaliation.

This is sad but absolutely true.

"But Dresden was bombed well after the allies were winning, in an area with little war impact and was nothing more than vicious retaliation."

We tend to forget that the Luftwaffe aircraft were terror bombing English cities until mid 1944 and the V-1 and V-2 terror weapons that were used through March 1945. Over ten thousand V-1 were launched against England killing 6,184 people and injurying 17,981 people.* The V-2 killed just over 2,700 Londoners. **

This of course is no comparsion to Dresden but terror reaps terror. My Mother in law was in London during this time and she still remembers the terror when the V-1 engine shut down and you didn't know if your number was up.

Hitler's retaliation was like shooting a hornets nest with a BB gun and not expecting to be attacked by several hundred angry hornets. His actions set off Bomber Harris who just didn't have any care for human life.

Brother Against Brother, trying to out do one another with Terror.

"Bomber" Harris was a sanitised nickname given by the media. His own men called him Butcher Harris, because of how he sent so many of them on pointless terror missions to die.

Nobody came out of that conflict with their honour intact, not even the ones who went in with it.

I remember Oswald Mosley writing of his dislike for Churchill, who lamented that he'd never had the opportunity to command great numbers of men in battle. The world wars were commanded by infantile leaders playing soldiers with other men's lives and pretending they were fighting Napoleon.

We are in complete agreement.
