proudtobewhite wrote:The above verse(s) from Isaiah and repeated by Paul are clear statements to understand both within their immediate context and the overall context of Scripture. To take a passage such as The Vine and Branches of John 15 to TRY AND EXPLAIN AWAY THE CLEAR IDEA THAT: "All Israel shall be saved" is at best a dishonest approach in trying to interpret and understand the truth of Scripture. The Vine and the Branches actually AFFIRMS "ALL ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED." For it gives us the positive and negative results of racial seperation which are clearly taught throughout the Scriptures. Therefore one must approach the Scriptures honestly, letting clear passages lay the foundation for us to build upon.
Verse 11 from John chapter 15 [KJV];
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
Notice it doesn't say "These things have I spoken unto you, that you may avoid being eternally cut off and cast into hell". The chapter seems to be dealing with the functionality or the lack thereof of the Israelite. That's all.
