Wow, I forgot about this one. Probably have not heard it since the 1970's.

Dear Brother Nico,

In our church we sing the classical hymns, because they were created in a certain era, which has resonated with Christians ever since. We are also blessed with a member of our church who over a decade ago, had a prolific two month period of composing over 50 hymns, which we also blend in with our services. Here's Tom's story and some audio links (we recorded 'We Are God's Covenant People' a couple of years ago).

http://fgcp.org/content/born-play-hymns

It should also be noted that Tom was inducted into the Boogie Woogie Hall of Fame a few years ago, a genre of music that was a precursor to rock music. And the music before that, I can remember my grandpa stewing in his juices, telling me that Frank Sinatra couldn't sing worth beans.

You would like our senior pastor, Don Elmore, if there was ever an anti rock n roll preacher. He used to give short reviews of why some songs and musicians were so bloody evil. But, the problem is so pervasive, that one cannot go anywhere in society today, after church, to get a bite to eat, without rock bleating through the speakers in a restaurant. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, art should glorify the God of the White race. That's not as easy as it sounds, due to the fact that no one knows what God likes musically; they didn't have ancient tape recorders. But, the Bible does suggest we "make a joyful noise before the Lord" Ps. 98:6 and I Chron. 15:16, "to raise sounds of joy." I would suggest that man, musically, has fallen short of the glory to make "a joyful noise." Instead, the noise glorifies the appetites of man and his cerebral demands for satisfaction. But, even Mick can't get no satisfaction.

Our world is so out of touch with reality, that the Vatican lamented the death last week of David Bowie. However, there was one friar who was out of touch with the world and waxed eloquently, objecting to the nausea labeled art or music. Here are some excerpts, which I took delight in reading and think you will too.

"But the world of rock and roll is to me a bewilderment, to the amazement of the same coterie who find it hard to believe that I have never had a cellular phone. It is a fact in witness to which I am willing to swear on a Douai Bible, that I have never been able to listen to an entire rock and roll song. This is not to say that I lack curiosity. In the South Pacific, I have listened to tunes on the aboriginal eucalyptus didgeridoo and the Polynesian nose flute, but what has developed as rock and roll music and metastasized into more raucous forms, remains an anthropological enigma and I leave restaurants and public gatherings where they are played.

"Consequently, it was no surprise that news of the death of David Bowie was the first time I knew that he had been alive. If you find that hard to believe, you must remember that my instinctive taste for “pop music” is encoded by Gilbert and Sullivan and eclipsed by John Phillip Souza. What did surprise me was that the Vatican, just wiping up from its Climate Change light show on the façade of the Basilica of St. Peter’s, plunged into mourning for this man. At least the president of the Pontifical Council for Culture, Gianfranco Cardinal Ravasi, issued a statement quoting from some lyrics of Mr. Bowie: “Ground Control to Major Tom / Commencing countdown, engines on / Check ignition and may God’s love be with you.” What I found most intimidating, and indeed frightening, was the assumption that others would recognize the reference.

"A “celebrity psychic” named Uri Geller [jew] said of Bowie: “I was profoundly impressed by his deep understanding of mysticism, the mysterious and the universe. There is no doubt in my mind that David believed in Heaven.” I am not impressed by this, especially in light of the fact that three years ago Bowie produced an adult-rated video impersonating Jesus in pornographic positions. A statement of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Righteous said: “The switch-hitting, bisexual, senior citizen from London has resurfaced, this time playing a Jesus-like character who hangs out in a nightclub dump frequented by priests, cardinals and half-naked women.” But when Bowie died, L’Osservatore Romano, aching to be the Church of What’s Happening Now, eulogized the genius of Bowie, excusing his “ambiguous image” as one of his “excesses” but then remarking his “personal sobriety, even in his dry, almost thread-like body.”

"In his Republic, Plato said that music is a more potent instrument than any other, because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul, on which they mightily fasten, imparting grace, and making the soul of him who is rightly educated graceful, or of him who is ill-educated ungraceful... Plato also knew the dangers of “anti-music” or Corybanticism, which perverted rhythms to stimulate the bodily humors in defiance of the good purposes of the muses. Its consequence would be a moral chain reaction, dissonant music deranging society and inverting virtue. The Corybants were priests of the Phrygian goddess Cybele, and their music was atonal, ecstatic, and dissolute. It was inimical to the ideal republic. But it incubated the ethereal realms of David Bowie and Michael Jackson and their sort.

"I recently had the funeral of a young man who died of a drug overdose, and whose musical world was Corybantic. His cousin, a client of the rock and drug scene, is in prison for murder. So I speak not only as an aesthete who publicly avows that he prefers Mozart and Chopin to Jackson and Bowie, but as a priest who has to pick up the pieces of those who never knew they had a choice. And I object to comfortable prelates in a higher realm, penning panegyrics for the doyens of a culture that destroys my children.

"Perhaps the next nervous surrender to fashion will be a declaration of Bruce/Caitlin Jenner as “Person of the Year” by the editors of the gender-neutral New American Bible. Asserting his prophetic, priestly, and regal credentials as the Rock, Saint Peter warned the Christians in Rome against the celebrities of the Forum:

For, talking empty bombast, they seduce with licentious desires of the flesh those who have barely escaped from people who live in error. They promise them freedom, though they themselves are slaves of corruption, for a man is a slave of whatever overcomes him. For if they, having escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, again become entangled and overcome by them, their last condition is worse than their first. (2 Peter 2: 18-20)

"Christ was a carpenter and his apostles were mostly fishermen and none of them was what is called today a “metrosexual.” I am not sure what that term fully means, but it embraces anyone who weeps for paragons of degeneracy and paladins of vice." From: http://www.crisismagazine.com/2016/a-mi ... avid-bowie

We should be aware that music is the perfect storm for our adversaries to foam at the mouth and cheer the echos of hypocrisy. In fact, these same injuns professing to be wise Identity Christians are only clever in their own eyes. They watch threads like this like vultures and distort our purpose for their own purposes, which is as hypocritical as it gets. So let's not lose sight of the prize we all aspire to and leave the casting of aspersions for the devils of deceit. Peace and joy. And stick around if on occasion we agree to disagree.

So people have been complaining about certain genres of music going back to ancient history. Now we know that the fall of the Greek Empire may have been caused by corybantiic music, the rock 'n roll of its day. The Bible itself is replete with all forms of sin and depravity committed by our ancestors without any mention of the evil seductive powers of the music they indulged in. Babylon must have had its own form of rock 'n roll to be that depraved, but we can only guess what it may have been. What was the evil music in the Garden that caused Eve to be seduced?

The Pharasaical Jews are experts at coming up with rationalized excuses for the depravity of negros, arabs, and mestizos. Every time one of them commits a gruesome crime, a jewish expert is there to tell us that had it not been for the evil cultural influences, all these beasts would have been doctors and lawyers not criminals. White Nationalists scoff at this notion, of course, and rightfully. We had a negro problem long before we had rap music to blame their behavior on.

And White society was up to its eyeballs in depravity long before we ever heard the first Elvis Presley or David Bowie song on our radios. If we have a proclivity to be corrupted, we surely don't need rock music or some pagan opera to push us over the edge. Germany would have had the Weimar with or without jazz music as the soundtrack. And no doubt Weimar had a David Bowie of their day. If we cannot resist whatever temptation lies before us, we are doomed. And we become no better than the Pharisees if we constantly look for excuses on which to blame our sin.

What separates us as a people from jews, negros, and mongrels is that we do not need to constantly be looking for an excuse for our errors and transgressions. We cannot call ourselves Christians if we refuse to take full responsibility for all of our actions. If history shows us anything, it shows us that if we try to remove one temptation, another will immediately appear to take its place.

Perhaps that "degenerate" Bard from England, Shakespeare, was well-aware of that temptation we have to create excuses for our own personal failings when he wrote these lines from Julius Ceasar:

"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our [rock] stars but in ourselves."
"No Rothschild is English. No Baruch, Morgenthau, Cohen, Lehman, Warburg, Kuhn, Kahn, Schiff, Sieff or Solomon was ever born Anglo-Saxon. And it is for this filth that you fight. It is for this filth that you murdered your Empire. It is this filth that elects, selects, your politicians." -- Ezra Pound

LOL, and I'm sure they were playing Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vidda" (In The Garden Of Eden).

It may come as welcome news to many here that my 4-year old son expressed an interest in listening to any classical music records that I have. He got his own little record player recently, so I will oblige him and give him a stack of classical records to do as he pleases.

Funny how when you let your kids make some of their own choices, they can often surprise you. His other favorite record, which he plays over and over again, is Gordon Lightfoot's "Wreck Of The Edmond Fitzgerald". I guess somehow that record sparked his interest in classical sounding music.

Some good points made by all in this thread. Food for thought. One thing is certain though: Compact Discs are straight from the pit of hell.

Glad your son has a record player. 8-)

I completely agree with you, Staro. The jews, who control the music industry, have further commoditized all music when they transitioned to CDs and digital formats. It provided them with windfall profits, as CDs cost a fraction to manufacture compared to traditional vinyl records. Not only do CDs rob the music of its spirit and feeling, they have pandered to people's short attention spans.

It has generally been my experience that people who still listen to music on vinyl records have a far deeper appreciation for music in all genres. It requires more of a commitment, effort, and focus. Because of my illness, I've been forced to sell off many of my more valuable records, but I will keep the less collectible ones for my children--and I certainly will not sell my vacuum tube, analog stereo system, which makes any record sound sublime, from Black Sabbath to Chopin.

First, allow me to once again sheepishly apologize for my absence from the forum. I offer no excuses, only greetings and hopes that my OPINION will be respected, as many here may no longer recognize me, lol.

So let me follow with...

Brother Nico, why do you persecute me so? I have read this thread carefully and I am grieved of heart to think that I could not possibly be of service to my brethren, and that my taste in music makes me an evil satanist. I am a musician who chooses to predominantly listen to, play, and produce rock music. My only regret is that I am not more productive. Yes, the rock music industry is slimy, but so is everywhere else. I choose to be a "luminary" in that darkness. I have suffered many professional setbacks because I am zealous in my Christian beliefs.

I am going to "regress" to my "rocker side" to make a few points perfectly clear: opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and they tend to stink. As a Christian man, I RESPECT your opinion, and in your company, I would be gracious enough not to play any rock music...because that is brotherly love. I will not attack you for not liking what I like. However that is what you are doing to me. Our brethren have conclusively proven here that any specific taste in MUSIC is not denounced by Scripture...so who are you to deem what is evil? Christ reprimanded the man who called Him "good teacher", stating, "who can say what is good, but God?" Your "argument" against rock music is such that would make the propaganda team at Gun Control Inc. proud!!! Cmon brother, are you serious??? Stating your OPINION that you do not like rock music is your christian freedom. However, SLANDERING something as EVIL, especially when the concept has no voice in Scripture, is not a Christian precept. By doing so, you are trying to rule over another man's faith.

Music is a tool, much like everything else, as this concept can be applied to everything from technology, to weapons, to alcohol...everything in moderation and according to it's purpose. Certain Christians should not consume alcohol because it is not in their disposition to do so responsibly. Certain Christians should not watch television because for some reason they can't separate fact from fiction. Certain Christians should not wield sharp objects because they have a tendency to unwittingly hurt themselves and/or others...the list of such things goes on and on. The "evil" in anything is what WE make of it. If this dialog was to continue churning out, we would see that everything is based upon self responsibility and maturity. You don't see any of us here advocating finding gainful employment at a dildo factory, do you? I don't recommend finding employment in the rock music industry, but I'll take it over a "real job" at a dildo factory any day.

Now, to get away from being so crass, I was given talents by God, and it just so happens that those talents lead me right to music, which then my personal tastes lead me to prefer rock music. Make no mistake, I LOVE classical music. I was raised on it. But I will tell you straight up that rock music is as close a kindred to classical music as any out there. It is my backround in classical music that taught me to appreciate the complexities possible within the rock genre. I write Christian Identity rock music, and when my life settles down a bit more, you will hear how WHOLESOME Christian rock is meant to be.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I also play in a rock n roll cover band, playing the "easier" side of rock covers from Allman Brothers and the Beatles to Zeplin and ZZ Top. No, the music isn't Christian, but we make sure it is not offensive. It is the kind of music listened to and appreciated at all of your VFW's, American Legions, Moose Lodges, Eagle's clubs, etc...all once respectable military veterans clubs and formerly white membership clubs. My band is a simple three piece where my two bandmates are true Christian Identists also. So how can we not be doing something positive for our community by helping to reduce stress in the lives of our fellow whites, even if they are drifting in a sea of obscurity? This also gives me a chance to interact with many of our brethren and introduce them to the message, for as a musician, I already command a certain respect (albeit in the form, usually, of some false idolization) and thusly my words seem to carry a little more weight. While this premise is not usually as optimistic as it sounds, it still works. I'd like to think that I have reached many people that way...heck, I reached my bandmates that way!
