Iceland: First European nation to recognize Palestinian State

On November 29, 2011 – Icelandic parliament passed the resolution by 38 votes in the 63-seat house. The motion backs a Palestinian state within the borders of the Six Day War of 1967. This made the small north Atlantic nation the first European nation to declare independence from World Zionist empire.

“At the same time, parliament urges Israelis and Palestinians to seek a peace agreement on the basis of international law and U.N. resolutions, which include the mutual recognition of the state of Israel and the state of Palestine,” said the resolution, proposed by the foreign minister.

In June 2011, Ossur Skarphedinsson, Icelandic Minister for Foreign Affairs, and his entourage had their trip to Gaza interrupted by Israeli soldiers who obstructed the path of their cars with large rocks. On his way to Gaza, the Icelandic delegation took a protracted route which avoided Israel; but the minister claims Israeli soldiers in the militarised zone were rude and un-cooperative.

Icelanders action has infuriated Israel and as a result, the Zionist hasbara machine is calling Icelanders “Jew haters”.

On March 9, 2011 – The BBC reported that property tycoons Robert and Vincent Tchenguiz were arrested as part of an investigation into the collapse of Icelandic bank Kaupthing. However, it was not mentioned that the two brothers were Israeli citizen and their father, Victor Tchenguiz, was an Iranian Jew and the royal jeweller of King Reza Shah (d. 1979). According to The Telegraph (March 6, 2010), Vincent Tchenguizs once dated Dorrit Moussaieff, the Israeli-born Jewish wife of Iceland’s President Dr. Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson.
