Another article on the papal pronouncement makes clear that the decision took into account jewish authorities:

Catholics at worship should neither sing nor pronounce the name of God as "Yahweh," the Vatican has said, citing the authority of Jewish and Christian practice."

Interestingly, some jews own the domain "yahweh.com", and they make it clear that they consider the term "The Lord" to refer to their "dead rabbis". So it appears that the Catholic Church prefers its adherents worship dead rabbis instead of Yahweh.

The Catholics seem to have a good motive, to connect the "Lord" of the Old Testament to the "Lord" of the New Testament, but in reality they give opportunity to the Jews to claim that Christianity is an innovation, because it is represented by a departure from original texts and real Hebrew tradition.

That is why we must do precisely the opposite: restore the Name of Yahweh to the Old Testament, and (at least) where KURIOS is found referring to God in the New Testament.

That way there is no confusion over the connection, of Jesus Christ to God, and the Jews are afforded no wiggle room to assert a phony validity for their heresy.

Recently an RC neighbour, who now never goes near that antichrist organisation, said to me "Is the pope a catholic ? I'm no longer sure." I responded by asking was the pope a Christian, and the answer to that could be assuredly and with certainty given in the negative; my neighbour agreed ...
