As for duck, where is the prohibition? Honestly, I have not eaten duck that I remember, but that is by chance and not by restriction.
Some of the words for birds and other critters are not even exactly identifiable. The word "swan" is a mistranslation of the King James Version, and there is no prohibition from duck or goose in Scripture.
There are some myths preponderate in certain "CI" circles which are not exactly right.
