Today marks the 800th year of the signing of Magna Carta

I am currently writing an essay on the Magna Carta and what it meant to the people at the time in which it was composed - what was good about it and what was bad about it.

There are varying opinions on the Magna Carta and it's a subject that doesn't come up very much at all. However, it is one that is of significance to us today because England was in many ways experiencing a peculiarly similar situation at that time that we find ourselves in today, and the lessons we can learn are important.

I'll put it up here as soon as I finish it.
