How the Crusades Saved Western Civilization

Postby Lang » Wed Feb 26, 2014 7:23 pm

Note: this video doesnt has the purpose of supporting the catholic church in any way. Its to celebrate the crusades as a militar campaign, and how it saved the west from the muslim turks.

"Give a hammer to a white, and he will build civilization;
Give a hammer to an asian, and he will build other hammers;
Give a hammer to an arab, and he will kill his wife;
Give a hammer to a nigger, and he will kill whites;
Give a hammer to a jew, and he will sell it to niggers.
"

While not supporting the Catholic church I fully agree the Crusaders saved us from the Turks. If not the Crusaders we'd all be mongrel Muslims now. In 1094 the Turks were on the doorstep of Constantinople, the Crusades put a monkey wrench in the works of the Turkish war machine. It gave us a 200 year breathing space.
YHWH bless.

You also have to remember, as Mr Finck and others have pointed out before, that the Catholic church at this time while, far from perfect, was still filled with faithful christian leaders and with minimal jewish influence. It shows what Christians united in their purpose and strong in their faith can achieve through the power of God.

As an aside, the establishment of the medieval Kingdom of Jerusalem goes to show just how ridiculous the jewish claim to that land is. It's moved between different rulers so many times in the last 2000 years.
