This will be the thread where I post the links to newly transferred and uploaded reel to reel tapes of Dr. Wesley A. Swift. This is an ongoing project making available over 50 recordings not posted anywhere else on the internet from original ministry tapes.

"Applying The Law of the Spirit of Life"

After a long hiatus I should be back to transferring these tapes shortly. I have obtained another reel to reel machine. I just hooked it up and everything seems to be in good order!

Looks like there is going to be further delay folks. The deck I bought had a small issue and I sent it back under warranty for repair. I got it back today and not only is the original problem not solved but it now has other issues. I'm really surprised with this as the seller has excellent feedback and references.

I read an article the other day that a renowned Swiss electronics company will be reintroducing a reel to reel tape deck as part of their new product line. I'll have to keep an eye on this development.

Update;

I got a refund on the previous mentioned deck.

I'm now talking with a fellow who rebuilds RtR machines. He has some simple decks that are play only, need to be rebuilt and require a cabinet for mounting. I've gotten a very good price quote and if he can locate a cabinet [he feels 95% certain he can] I've given him the ok to rebuild one for me.

On August 1 I called into Bill's program and among other things I spoke about my RtR woes. A listener named Titus 1:14 contacted me and offered to help me, if possible make a new part to get my old RtR machine working again. The original part was chunks and dust but I did have some photos of it intact. I had been looking for an original, intact part for over a year to no avail. The day after I communicated with Titus 1:14 about this I did a search on eBay and lo and behold there it was! The original part for $14.99! I have since sent off this part and the other problematic part that will also eventually break to Titus so he could refashion new pieces out of material that will not break. I just received back the first part, the play/record cam and it's an exact duplicate that fits perfectly! This is a very talented fellow as this must have been difficult to do! Praise Yahweh! God willing I'll be back to transferring the Swift tapes in the near future!

Here is the original "pot-metal" cam. You can see even on this one the cracks that are developing;

And Titus's precision duplicate;

Thanks for sharing this Staro, I enjoyed your story with Bill about how you acquired some records and shocked some people. I also heard about this.

I really like seeing metal lathes, but how he did this is beyond me. That is amazing. That is unlikely to break ...it looks like stainless steel lol.
