YHWH=Astrology????
Posted: Sat Dec 11, 2010 10:38 pmYeah, I was arguing with somebody who is trying to tell me that YHWH originates from astrology. Here's their argument,
"I asked you if you accepted that astrology was part of your YHWH ? It is interesting that a certain Y-shaped "aspect" (an angle between two planets) considered important in Astrology is sometimes called a "Yod" or "the finger of God". Yod is the letter in the Hebrew alphabet which is the first letter of Yahweh (YHVH or Yod-He-Vah-He), which is the "unspeakable" name of God in the Old Testament. (The Hebrews held their God in such reverance and awe that it was considered presumptuous for human beings to even try to limit such an omnipotent power by placing a name upon Him.) Look up the YOD and see for yourself...YHWH was inspired by astrology....bet you didn't know that...
Hebrews have studied the stars since their beginning....astronomy & astrology. And as to their language...I didn't use a different language. Here have a look...this one site is only one...there are many that say the same...I told you look up YOD.

Here I'll clue you in on PROOF they were not only studying ASTRONOMY...but were creating ASTROLOGY from the start. The book of Job is the OLDEST BOOK in the bible....Look up Genesis 1:14; Job 9:8-9; Job 26:13; Job 38:31-33; Amos 5:8...these scriptures are but a few of OBVIOUS knowledge of star watching and beings the Mazzaroth is the ZODIAC and has 12 constellations and even more deacon stars. You'll assume nothing here...but if you do...I'll gladly point out a HUGE amount more. Look up a star called algol...Cut and paste this question in a google search-->" what did the Hebrews call the star algol." You'll find out that the name they called that star is in the book of Job. Find out about the star and you'll realize why they called it what they did !
Look up hebrew astronomy and read......Did you know that the 12 tribes of israel represent the 12 constellations ?
