Expanding Earth Theory

Bill did a roundtable discussion on Saturday's show which debunked the Flat Earth Theory and showed how it is being used to discredit CI. Is anyone here familiar with the Expanding Earth Theory? I read about it years ago and thought it offered a better explanation of our observable physical world than the official story line. I'm not sold on it, but it's certainly more rational than the Flat Earther's ideas.

It doesn't necessarily seem to be in contradiction with the Bible, as creationwiki.org writes:

"Genesis 1:2: "Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters ... And God said, 'Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.' ..." If the Earth was initially smaller, it would have been completely covered in water, as reported by Genesis 1:2. If the Earth then expanded by an increase in ocean crust, the water would have flowed into the new areas of ocean crust, leaving the original crust (now continental crust) as dry land, as reported by Genesis 1:9."

"the water being gathered in one place" would also account for the formation of ice caps. Sea levels will be lower if more of the water is locked up in ice, especially in the south where it's piled up on top of Antarctica.

Interestingly, secular geology DOES suggest the possibility of an earth entirely covered in water/watery ice:

It was truly an honor to participate in Saturday's roundtable [actually it was a large rectangular table 8-) ] discussion and have fellowship with such great minds and souls. I'd like to give special thanks to our very gracious host who made this edifying weekend possible.
