It's refreshing to hear a mainstream minister openly state that homosexuality is condemned by scripture. Note how the journalist lambasts him for it, yet Osteen sticks to his guns and keeps going back to scripture for authority.

Do you know what I've noticed. I've seen many people say things that may seem out of their character, or not mainstream. But the point is that lots of celebrities, famous people will say anything they think will assist them or gain publicity. I haven't heard much about Osteen recently, he probably says this to gain attention and support. Billy Graham probably said things about the Jews to Richard Nixon to entrap him into admitting what Nixon really thought. I remember Donald Trump saying stuff about standing up to China then dropping out of the presidential race. Famous people will say whatever they think will gain them votes, support or popularity. Of course some people are honest and stick to their guns, but they're more of a rarity. Don't trust somebody who may appear on our side, but in reality have their own agenda. Be as wise as serpents.
