The Three Frogs Of Revelation 16:13

Postby EzraLB » Tue Aug 23, 2016 11:56 am

13 And I saw from out of the mouth of the dragon and from out of the mouth of the beast and from out of the mouth of the False Prophet three unclean spirits like frogs.
-Revelation 16:13

In ChristReich, Bill connects these three frogs to the French people, who are known as "frogs":

"Frogs have no prior allegorical use in Scripture. They are one of the plagues in Egypt, however it is certain that the reference to frogs in the Book of Exodus must be taken literally. However one clue to the use of the word here cannot be overlooked. While it is not an intention here to continually insult the French people, and they were as much victims of circumstance in the French Revolution as were the Germans, the English and the Americans in the torments to follow, the use of the term frog to describe a Frenchman has been extant throughout the English-speaking world for over 200 years. This may be an indication as to the nature of the unclean spirits which emanate from the mouth of the false prophet."

Then Bill connects the three frogs with the jewish slogans of the French Revolution:

"The jewish ideals of liberty, equality and fraternity are ideals which lead to the decline of Christian society into the cesspool of human licentiousness. All of the cries for diversity, racial equality, sexual liberation, and every other philosophy detrimental to sound Christian society which has been made these past 200 years have been based upon these jewish ideals, and jews have been their chief instigators and promoters."

I did a little digging on this issue and found that this connection is far more solid than one might first think.

According to E.B. Elliott in his 1862 4-volume study on the Apocalypse, Horae Apocalypticae; or, A Commentary on the Apocalypse, Critical and Historical; Including Also An Examination of the Chief Prophecies of Daniel, the heraldic symbol of the 5th Century Frankish Merovingian dynasty of kings was three black frogs seen on their flags and banners (see attached image at the end of this comment).

When Clovis (481-511) took the throne, he converted to Catholicism, and united France under one rule. Doing so, he changed the symbol of his rule from the three black frogs to the famous "fleur-de-lis," which resembles the three frogs enough that apparently the English confused the new "fleur-de-lis" for frogs. Recall that Revelation uses the phrase "three unclean spirits like frogs."

It was Clovis who established his capital in Paris, which was known to be surrounded by vast swampy areas full of frogs. It seems that it was the French themselves, not the English, who first referred to the French as frogs. During the French Revolution in 1790s at Versailles, a common expression was "Qu'en disent les grenouilles? " or "What will the frogs (people of Paris) say?"

However, despite his Christian conversion, Clovis was a pagan at heart, and the Fleur-de-lis apparently was a symbol dating back to Babylon, and represented the trinity of Nimrod, Semeriamis, and Tammuz (three unclean spirits?).

In Horae Apocalypticae, E.B. Elliott claims that the three frogs symbol originally came from an image found on an ancient Egyptian medal, representing the triple frog goddess Hecate. And this perhaps would tie into the episode in Exodus when Egypt is thus appropriately consumed by a plague of frogs. As Bill pointed out, "Yahweh God does indeed have a sense of humor."

And while Bill states that the plague of frogs in Exodus must be taken literally, I have to wonder if this episode may have a dual meaning. In Psalms 78:45 we see the frogs grouped in with other plagues:

45 He sent divers sorts of flies Ex. 8.20-24 among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them. 46 He gave also their increase unto the caterpillar, and their labor unto the locust.

In many other places in Scripture caterpillars and locust are used as allegories for racial aliens who over-run the nations of Israel for the purposes of chastisement. Eventually, Egypt did fall through racial degeneration and Yahweh gave it up.

As an interesting side note, apparently the ancient Greeks referred to themselves as "frogs" as attested to by both Plato and Aristotle. Both Homer and Aristophanes used frogs as metaphors for people. Is it possible that story of the plague of frogs in Exodus served also as a precursor for the eventual invasion of Egypt by the Greeks?

It is also worth mentioning that for the ancient Egyptians, the frog represented, among other things, regeneration and resurrection. According to Elliott, in an Egyptian museum, there is a terra-cotta lamp in the shape of a frog with the inscription, "ETS1 EIMI ANATACIC" which means "I am the resurrection." Along these lines, the Hebrew name of the frog, TSPR, means to turn, to convert one's self in a moral sense, possibly referring to how a tadpole turns into a frog:

Wow, I really didn't know any of that before writing Christreich, but at least some of it will make it into the next version. Thanks EzraLB!

PS: I am about to comment on these things again in relation to the Protocols...

Bill, it's interesting that you connected the three frogs to France in a somewhat intuitive fashion--going against the grain of most commentators on Revelation. But because most commentators keep insisting on the Beast being solely the Roman Catholic Church and not world jewry, they can't see the forest for the trees.

I would also add the following observation to further support your thesis--and if it's obvious, I apologize. After France disposed of their monarchy in the wake of the "French" Revolution, they demanded and got their worldly "democracies", with the three judeo-masonic Republics. And it was during the Second Republic that they officially adopted the masonic platitudes Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. There you have it: 3 "frog" republics spewing out their 3 destructive philosophies.

It's also interesting to note that in France at this time, Aesop's Fables were made very popular by Jean de la Fontaine. One is an adaptation of Aesop's "The Frogs Who Desired A King," which has an uncanny parallel to the Old Testament story of the Israelites demanding an earthly king and suffering the consequences. In some ways, this is what happened in France--their aristocracy based on blood kinship and Christ was replaced by the worldly kings of democracy--the jews.

LOL, I guess in France in the 18th century what we really saw was a live episode of Batrachomuomachia, or the Battle of the Frogs and Mice. I know, the Jews are really rats, but that is close enough. In this version, the rats obviously won by recruiting the frogs through the Masonic lodges. Hesiod never would have thought of that...
